| Preach it! |

I watched Preaching to the Perverted today. A quaint little gem of a 90's British sex comedy that was actually a decent and remarkably sensitive look at the S&M lifestyle.
I personally love how the S&M gig mirrors British Parliamentary procedure and the conservative "villain" of the piece just really didn't pick up on it.
It's a decent watch if you have a couple of hours to kill.
Another decent watch is WΔZ. It's a slow burn for a serial killer flick, but it brings questions to mind rather like the Saw series, or at least the first few of them. Questions like "what is altruism and does it really exist or is selfishness genetic?" and "is love as much of a driving force as we claim it is?" and uses the Price Equation (the mathematical expression of evolution and natural selection; WΔZ=cov(Wi,Zi)+E(WiΔZi) (assuming w does not equal 0)) as a motive. Selma Blair is actually quite convincing in this one as a rape victim pushed beyond the limits of sanity.
Plus, in this film we discover that Stellan Skarsgard is very much uncut but that's just a special bonus. |

I agree with you on WΔZ and Preaching to the Perverted.
Enjoyed WΔZ more. Thought it was going to be a straight SAW rip-off. Was pleasantly surprised. | |
